John Clayton features, BVI, Offshore...
The BVIs are a top location for Finance and Banking lawyers due to the hub of legal activity within these small islands. But imagine finishing work and going straight to the beach? Well this could be a reality if you choose to work offshore.
When living in paradise there are many things you can do in your free time. We have complied a list of the top 4 things to do when visiting or working in the BVIs.
1. New York weekend break
Due to the location of the BVIs, flying to America is straight forward. This means that from Islands such as Tortola you can get a direct flight to New York in just under 4 hours!
2. BVI’s four islands
The BVI is made up of 4 main islands this means that you can go from Island to Island by plain or by sea. This means that you can take a well-earned break and visit the island of Tortola which is famous for its picturesque views (and the famous ‘yellow bird’ rum cocktail!).
3. Rent a yacht
If you have good sea legs chartering your own yacht for the day is the best way to take in the spectacular views of the BVI island. There are many boats to choose from, this can range from a 10-foot boat to a 40-metre super yacht! The possibilities are endless!
4. Snorkelling
With the warm, clear waters of the BVIs it's no wonder that people come from all over the world to explore the corals and under water life. The best island that offers the most choice in terms of trips is Tortola. This is a popular cruise port which means the island is full of private companies offering once in a life time experiences. The famous resident of the waters around the BVIs is the leather back turtle, so you may have a few close encounters too!
