A prestigious law firm in the Cayman Islands is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Lawyer to join its thriving Intellectual Property (IP) practice. About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and growing the firm’s Intellectual Property practice, with a particular focus on non-contentious trade mark portfolio management. This position is well-suited for an IP lawyer with in-house or private practice experience in trade marks, alongside broader IP expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and advising on global trade mark portfolios for international clients.

• Handling trade mark prosecution, clearance, oppositions, and renewals.

• Providing strategic advice on brand protection, licensing, and enforcement strategies.

• Advising on broader IP matters, including copyright and designs.

• Collaborating with international law firms and corporate clients.

• Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years PQE in Intellectual Property law.

• Extensive experience in trade mark portfolio management in-house or in private practice.

• Broader IP experience, including advisory work on copyright, designs, and brand protection.

• Strong client management and business development skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Prior experience in the Caribbean or offshore jurisdictions is advantageous but not essential—applications from candidates outside the region are welcomed.
